Endometriosis support groups
Many people find it helpful and comforting to speak with other people who’ve been or are going through similar experiences.
Support groups for people with endometriosis or chronic pain can be a great way to meet other people to talk about these experiences and share advice.
In Wales, Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales (FTWW) is a proactive, patient-led organisation set-up for those living in Wales who need practical advice, help and support dealing with their local health services and accessing care. Originally created to assist patients with endometriosis, they have a unique understanding of the challenges of living with this disease in Wales and have campaigned accordingly. They have an active Facebook support group that brings together people from across Wales living with conditions like endometriosis, and many others such as the menopause, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), miscarriage, and so on. They also organise in-person support groups for women with chronic and/or recurrent health conditions (including endometriosis).
FTWW was a key partner in developing the Endometriosis.cymru website.
Endometriosis UK has a free telephone helpline as well as local support groups run by volunteers across the UK. Find out more about Endometriosis UK support groups here.
